Camunnorum or “wine of the Camuni” embodies the precious combination of ancient knowledge, typical of mountain territories, and modern cultivation techniques. Diciotto Lune is born from a blend of different vines and woods such as Cherry, Ash, Oak and Robinia, aged 18 months. Grappa Riserva del Piemonte aged for a maximum of 7 years is the liqueur produced according to the ancient recipe of the Francoli Distillery. Only high-quality 100% Italian raw materials are carefully selected for the production of this liqueur. It has a golden hue with amber nuances. On the nose, candied fruit, vanilla and raisins dominate. And the flavor is delicately balanced overall, the result of a warm and enveloping alcoholic note pleasantly balanced by the slightly astringent sensation attributable to the tannins migrated from the wood.

The Luigi Francoli distillery is always looking for new challenges that contribute to increasing the quality level of its Grappas. In the case of this Grappa “Barolo Cask Finish”, as can be easily seen from the name, the distillate undergoes an initial passage in French oak wood, to then complete the maturation process in woods that previously contained Barolo, the undisputed king of Piedmontese wine production.

It is the result of the historical heritage of Distillerie Francoli for the woods used in aging but also for having kept the best fruits of their garden separate and at rest, with patience and sacrifice.
Eighty-eight barriques were purchased, in a single solution, in 1988. Since then those woods have continued to perform their function, demonstrating that their activity does not end after a few years of use.
